Free Coursera course: Questionnaire Design for Social Surveys starts 6 Oct 2014

Coursera, a provider of online courses also called MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) , is running the free course Questionnaire Design for Social Surveys starting 6 October 2014.

The course is being run by Frederick Conrad, Ph.D. and Frauke Kreuter, Ph.D., two professors from the University of Michigan.

From the outline:

This course will cover the basic elements of designing and evaluating questionnaires. We will review the process of responding to questions, challenges and options for asking questions about behavioral frequencies, practical techniques for evaluating questions, mode specific questionnaire characteristics, and review methods of standardized and conversational interviewing.
